Authentication & API Keys
This page covers how you authenticate to Pluggedspace products and how to use API keys for programmatic access.
Portal Authentication
- Navigate to
https://accounts.pluggedspace.org/. - Sign up or sign in with your work email and password.
- On first sign-up you provide an Organization Name, which establishes your secure, isolated workspace.
- Verify your email via the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
After sign-in you can manage team members, roles, API keys, and domain whitelisting from Settings.
API Keys
Workspaces can generate API keys for programmatic access to the platform:
- Create keys from the workspace Settings → API keys section.
- Keys are scoped to your workspace and honor the same role-based access control as the portal.
- Use the key as a bearer token on API requests:
Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>
Examples that use API access:
- Query Atlas datasets from your own applications or BI dashboards.
- Trigger automated webhooks and integrations from external systems.
Best Practices
- Never commit API keys to version control — store them in a secrets manager or environment variables.
- Rotate keys regularly and revoke keys that are no longer needed.
- Grant the minimum role needed for the task (Viewer < Analyst < Admin < Owner).
